Question: What do you perceive to be the major issue of the office for which you are running and how do you propose to address the issue?

The moderator's job is not to make policy, but to preside over town meeting and make appointments. My 33 years of experience at town meeting and my reputation for fairness and integrity will enable me to preside efficiently and fairly. Though a new government is coming, the old government must nevertheless continue to function well through the transition. I will work to appoint capable people, retaining experienced people to the extent possible.
